How this page came about:

This webpage is set up in order to donate to Amanda Tapping's charities. In 2005 a lot of fans felt it would be better to donate to charity than to buy presents for Amanda's baby. In the message to her fans of January 5th, 2005 Amanda also asked her fans to donate if possible.

"I would love it, if you were so inclined to send a gift, if you could please send something to your local hospital instead. I am also a spokesperson for UNICEF and they have set up a Tsunami relief fund. Any donations to them would be so greatly appreciated."

Immediately fans started wondering about how to give and to which charities to give. Therefore we have set up this webpage and hope this will be useful for those who want to donate.

As stated above, Amanda Tapping is a spokesperson for UNICEF but she also supports charities such as SPCA, MS and the Canadian Cancer Society.

You will find a description of each charity and after "How to donate" you will find information about donating and links to the websites.
